It's been a long time. I know I know. With patience though comes a great deal of thinking, observation, and rockin out.
Now I've been saying this for years and again tonight as I was heading home, I feel the need to express my views and great deal of love.
Tonight, I recently listened to an album that came out over 4 years ago that still today has me going crazy about it. I am of course talking about, what I believe to be one of the greatest albums of all time, My Chemical Romance's "The Black Parade" .
I know this band isn't everyone's cup of tea. I know their genre may not be something you're in to. I'm not really a big Beatles fan but I know they're one of the greatest bands of all time and had one of the biggest influences in the music world.
Now I'm not even saying MCR can be considered "one of the greatest bands of all time" but this cd definitely belongs to be considered one of the greatest albums to ever be recorded.
The Black Parade is a rock opera that centers around "The Patient" and his death, fondest memories, his struggles and after life as he suffered from cancer. For The Patient, death was like…well a parade. With incredible vocals, impressive guitar riffs, articulate lyrics, and an introduction by a new drummer, they reached perfection. It's so great of an album, I believe it's one they may never be able to achieve to out due.
Going platinum in both the US and the UK, and gold in Argentina and Chile, respect is given where respect is deserved. One of the only albums I can honestly say I want to just listen start to finish and be in love with it as the first time I ever heard it. Listening to it at least 100 times now, I can call it truth.
Give it a chance and let me know what you think!
